Butler-Auburn Redevelopment Plan
This study resulted in a detailed zoning plan for implementing the urban design and land use recommendations of the Butler/Auburn Redevelopment Plan. Work resulted in changes to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Landmark District which includes residential, mixed use, and institutional subareas while protecting the historic form of the area. In addition to the Landmark District revisions, the zoning proposal included a plan for rezoning the adjacent area not included in the Landmark District to Multi-family and Mixed Use zoning districts complete with urban design controls and pedestrian-oriented regulations.
