Edgewood Master Plan Feasibility

Work done for a non-profit that has been active in the Edgewood neighborhood of the City of Atlanta through a variety of programs. The organization had acquired residential units over the course of their outreach programs and youth work. The goal of this initiative became ensuring affordable housing as an important support tool in the neighborhood and for the residents they were actively involved with. Market + Main's work centered on facilitation and strategy development to discern whether undertaking a neighborhood-wide master plan was an appropriate step for the organization. It was ultimately determined that a master plan could achieve what the organization was interested in accomplishing, and that undertaking a planning initiative would allow them to serve as a partner in the community. Market + Main made recommendations for a master plan approach that was focused on the issues that needed to be addressed in the neighborhood and were closely aligned with the organization's mission.
