South Moreland LCI Study

Conducted market analysis, which assessed and projected housing, retail and commercial demands to ensure a realistic and implementable plan, as well as assisted in public involvement. Primary focus of study was on the southern portion of a crucial urban corridor in City of Atlanta and DeKalb County, Moreland Avenue, also a state route. Made recommendations on catalyst projects to strategically spur redevelopment along corridor, which included: redevelopment of key node to provide new northern anchor close to Interstate 20; mid- to high-density residential infill development at strategic locations; retail pruning for overall economic vitality; longer-term redevelopment in the southern-most end of the corridor; and diversification of housing and business mix.
